For any woman, breast is the part of her feminism. It is the organ that provides a different identity to a woman and also makes her feel complete. Sore breasts can be caused by a variety of reasons ranging from pregnancy to menopause. It is very common but can be a painful phase for many women. In most women breast soreness occurs just before their periods and goes away in some time. It’s an on and off thing. It is related to the fluctuations of hormone levels in your body. Every woman is different, and it affects everyone differently. Some women don’t experience it at all. Apart from it happening around your period, it can also happen when you’ve just started on your birth control method. The body needs time to adjust to the medication, and this may cause an imbalance in the hormonal levels of your body causing sore breasts. Also if you’re going through menopause or nearing one, then you will experience soreness in your breasts. So there are different reasons for different people that cause soreness. The good thing is, some home remedies can help alleviate the pain and reduce soreness. The home remedies provided here are easy to follow and much cost-effective also so one can easily treat the sore breast without visiting a doctor. However, it is important to note that the result of these remedies may vary from person to person and hence one may need to follow the remedy for a long period also.

Ice pack

The coldness of ice pack will numb the area and provide relief. Take a few ice cube wrap it in a plastic sheet. Cover it again with a small cloth and place it on your breast. Keep it there for 10 minutes. Repeat this two to three times a day to see an effective decrease in soreness.

Massage

Massage increases blood circulation and eases inflammation. You can do this while in a hot shower as this will ease and provide relief. Alternatively, you can use a massaging cream to massage your breasts for five minutes. Do this three to four times a day.

Fennel

Fennel is anti-inflammatory and provides great relief by sorting hormonal imbalance in the body. Fennel prevents retention of water in the body. It also flushed out toxins from your body. You can use fennel in the following ways.

  • Dry roast some fennel seeds and chew then several times a day.
  • Add some fennel seeds to hot water. Cover it with a lid and consume it after some time. Take this solution two to three times a day to reduce inflammation.

Apple cider vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is excellent for flushing out toxins from your body. It also regulates hormones and reduces water retention.

  • Add a few teaspoons of apple cider vinegar to a glass of warm Now add a teaspoon of honey. Take this solution twice daily to see effective results.
